I plan to buy the manuals for this car when I can. Need to visit the Service Center soon and see what they will let me read.

I have access to this as well, the only problem is that you can't get the whole thing in one single PDF. You have to click on each and every sections to get that particular remove/install and pinpoint diagnostics. There is also an EVTM manual that shows all the wiring diagrams, just no RS info there just yet.

Interesting how much angst there was about the RDU overheat/shutdown; but when we hear that the PDU can shut things down, and, has a dedicated cooler; the reaction is......meh.
The PTU they're using is the same one that's in the new Escape (at least it looks exactly the same), with the addition of a cooler. There is no sensors of any kind inside the PTU, so it has no way of knowing how hot the PTU actually is, so the vehicle won't shut down due to a PTU problem. If they're anything like the cop Taurus's with cooled PTU's, the PTU will keep going until the oil cooks and the PTU blows up. Done a couple of those. Never seen issues with the Escape PTU's though other than the intermediate shaft seal.

RS info is in the wiring diagrams, they even have reference pid values in the PC/ED manual for the RS. All RS info is up

haha, thought this was amusing because customer's are usually worried about us abusing cars (yes i'm a mechanic), but it says right here in the manual for testing the AWD system, you need to do multiple accelerations, one pedal to the metal acceleration test :D So no, we are not rat-bagging your car, just doing our job.

I am not a .pdf expert but it should be possible to put in one document. We have a complete one on file for the MK2
Ford's workshop manuals have changed over the years, they're now fully programmed in HTML using JavaScript I believe, with links between different procedures. There's nowhere for a ford tech to download an offline copy, heck we don't even get paper manuals anymore. The only way to make it into a PDF, would be if ford releases a PDF format for customer's to purchase (which I don't think they would, too easy to share), or to manually copy and paste all the information in the workshop manual into a new PDF, which would take a looooong time.
